Alligator Juniper

It is hard to believe we have already been here for about 5 months now! We have been busy with projects to the homestead, travel, and simply enjoying the beauty of our life and surroundings. Jim just asked me yesterday if I had set up our site yet--I told him I was waiting to give people a chance to miss us first to peak their interests in our endeavors! But it nudged me just enough to get me going on it.

The days are not getting as warm and the nights are starting to get cold here in New Mexico, so it is about time for us to head towards the warmer weather of Guaymas. The boat is calling to us, but we are waiting on some backordered parts we need to get her seaworthy before we head south for the season.

Granny is doing well--though she is not happy about us leaving to sail again. Her collection of cats is growing at an alarming rate, but they do give her an abundance of joy and companionship.

Jim's mom is unfortunately declining rapidly. In a recent FaceTime she recognized Jim but did not believe that I was his wife Sherry. It looks like she will be going to a nursing home soon and entering hospice. We will likely delay our sailing trip further to make another trip out to see her.
