Headed to California

This summer has been full of road trips from Texas to California to Nebraska to Mexico. Whew! This has been a great summer for Jim who loves the road trip. And Sherry, who suffers severe carsickness, is beginning to come around, though by necessity and somewhat reluctantly, to its virtues. Tomorrow we head for California to visit our families once more before leaving to Mexico for the winter. Since Jim's mom seems to be deteriorating so rapidly, we feel the need for him to spend some time with her while she still knows who he is.

One of the nice things about being retired is that we were able to get up this morning and make the decision to just go tomorrow. Not sure when we will return--another benefit of retirement.
