First stop is El Maro--AKA the almost free dock, to make sure all systems are working properly before we get too far away. There is no water, electricity, or bathroom facilities here, just several docks in ill repair. There is a nominal charge of 50 pesos (approximately $2.50 US), to tie up. There is also a sardine factory just around the bend which makes quite unpleasant smells when the wind is just right. Nonetheless, it serves our purposes for a few nights and at a good price.
