On the first evening of our 192 mile, double overnight crossing of the Sea of Cortez to explore some of the Baja coast and islands, we spotted a huge pod of dolphins on course to cross right in front of us. No matter how often we see dolphins at sea, it is always an exciting event. They are curious individuals, many marked with scratches and scars on their bodies and will usually swim alongside to say hello. Lily gets so excited at every sighting of sea life--check out her video trying to "speak" to the dolphins in the video section of our site.
